How we approach it
We create bespoke applications, platforms and products across the full range of business needs. That includes custom web applications that give your team and your customers access from anywhere; database systems that bring scattered information into one reliable place; internal tools that take the friction out of day-to-day operations; and customer-facing portals and SaaS products you can offer to your own clients. As an approved Crown Commercial Service supplier – including to the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) – we’re trusted with work that has to meet a high bar.
How we work
We involve ourselves at every stage, from first idea to live system and beyond. We start by understanding your business, the goal of the software and who’ll use it – then, because a finished app is hard to picture from a document, we build interactive prototypes early so you can react to something real. From there we develop in small, regular releases using DevOps practices, so you see progress continually and can steer as we go. When it’s live, most clients move onto a support package so the software keeps improving.
The technologies we use
At the front end we use browser-based technology such as HTML5, with JavaScript frameworks including React, Angular and Vue. Behind it, we build on .NET Core and C#, with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server and Web APIs. We choose the right tools for your system rather than forcing every project down the same path.

SEMP needed a new partner to take over the maintenance and ongoing development of SEMPx – a highly complex, large-scale platform for managing major engineering projects. We got up to speed fast, took control of the infrastructure and licensing, and became the team that keeps it running and moving forward.
A Life in a Day / The Method
A Life in a Day is an award-winning immersive app that helps staff at many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies understand what it’s like to live with a particular illness. We provide its ongoing maintenance – and we’re currently modernising its back end to the latest version of Microsoft .NET.
